My childhood in Busytown
Oh man. Richard Scarry is literally a blast from the past for me. Kids who grew up in the 90's will know what I'm talking about. Or you should anyway!
I used to read and watch so much Richard Scarry from when I was 1 uptill I was about 11. My mom used to read his books to me and my brother every night as a bedtime story and we would get totally hooked on the adventures of Huckle and Lowly and the rest of the Busytown residents. I remember my brother's favourite book used to be Be Careful Mr Frumble! There were so many videos and books of Richard Scarry that I almost lived off them! Thing is, I didn't notice this as a child, but a lot of the things I had when I was a kid like books, puzzles, video tapes and dolls, all were part of the Richard Scarry collection. So it's no wonder that when a couple of days ago, I stumbled across the theme song of The Busy World of Richard Scarry on Youtube and immediately felt that familiar nostalgic feeling again. A very strong nostalgic feeling! I don't know what it is about this show, the animation, the characters or the cozy town but one thing's for sure, it definitly brings me back really warm, happy memories of my childhood.
Once again, here's the theme song... Enjoy!
